  • Q:How strenuous is this trip?
A:This journey is considered rigorous touring that passes through Jaren and Kham Tibet. The highest place is over 4000 meters above sea level. People respond to an increase in altitude differently (some experience general discomfort, breathlessness, poor sleeping patterns or limited capacity for physical exertion). Please consult with your local travel clinic or physician for specifics about altitude sickness and your personal health. We drive gradually from plain area to high mountains which allows some time to acclimatize to the increase in altitude. Most of our past passengers adjust to plateau area without difficulty.
  • Q:Do I need a Tibet Travel Permit for this trip?
A:No.But sometimes we are not allowed to get into those Kham because of the tension or some other political reasons.
  • Q:What kind of hotels are we staying in?
A:We selects comfortable and well located hotels in each place, which makes your stay pleasant and easy. A few lodgings in remote area are basic, but hot showers are always available.
  • Q:What kind of guide service do you offer?
A:We believes that the local guides understand their culture and nature best. These passionate guides are pleased and proud to share their information with our travelers. In this trip, one guide serves you throughout the whole way.
  • Q:What do we need to carry ourselves?
A:Sun cream, a hat, sunglasses and warm clothes are necessary in plateau areas,as the sun shine is strong during day time, but cold in night. It is especially necessary to bring some over-the-counter medicine for altitude sickness if you have never traveled to high-altitude areas before.
  • Q:What’s the guideline for tipping?
A:As a guideline,a minimum 5 USD per day per person would be usual for the guide and 3USD to a driver, given separately to each person is preferable. Remember tipping is at your discretion.
